I’ve Lost My Knitty!

But going to college will do that to you. To date, I don’t think I’ve picked up a pair of needles in a solid month. This is the longest time that I have gone without knitting since I started! Everything’s boiled down to paperwork, books, buying all the crap you didn’t realize you’d need, more paperwork, classes, getting to know your teachers, paperwork and again, more paperwork.

Did I mention that paperwork *sucks*?

I’m hoping to get something cast on over the Labor Day weekend, however. Any advice on what would make a good project that I can shove into my backpack and haul around campus?

Socks are always shovable into bags, backpacks, etc. Scarves too, but they take up more room as they grow πŸ˜‰

I second the sock emotion. But if you’re not into that, how about some fingerless gloves? The Knucks pattern is awesome.

I have to echo socks, and in a cute little project bag. πŸ™‚

Hats on circs always do best for me. I found that it was all too easy to lose one of my dpns when I was carting socks around.

A hat project is almost a staple for me, but especially something very simple (like plain ribbing or stockinette) that I can work on without looking in the few moments before the professor starts class.. Also, a washcloth. When its finished, you’ll have something very useful for the kitchen sink! (or at least an alternative to your roommate’s questionable sponge.. or thats how it is for me anyways)
